It was a quite sensational culture shock for me when I saw Russia on TV for the first time.

I screamed in my mind.

"Are you joking or what?"

"Is this an imaginary kingdom of Terry Gilliam's or Tim Burton's movies?

Yes. Red Square was my primary impression and also an icon of Russia.

Until then, actually, I had only a dark impression towards this mysterious country.

However...wait! Do they have such absolutely cute and gorgeous buildings as a tongue in cheeks?


Since then I have got a crushed on this country, Kawaii gold mine of fairy tales.

Even I will have been learning Russian language for three years by coming Spring.

Nobody cannot stop my fantasy.

テレビでロシアをはじめて観たときは、かなり衝撃的なカルチャーショックを受けたものです。

こころの中でさけんだよね。

「なにこれ、冗談か何か？」

「テリーギリアム はたまたティムバートン映画の中の王国？」

そう、《赤の広場》がわたしのロシアの第一印象だし、象徴でもある。

それまでは正直、このミステリアスな国には暗いイメージしかなかった。
でも、待って？こんなに(皮肉にも)冗談みたく可愛いくてゴージャスな建物があるの？

それから　この可愛い、童話の宝庫の国に恋しちゃったの。

こんどの春でロシア語の勉強もはじめて３年経つし。

だれもわたしの憧れを止められない。

Sweet 'n Kiwite Snap! 〜スィートでキウィートな着画！〜

Here is an apron skirt which I showed off at " My last work in 2014, Apron Skirt " last week.

先週「2014年最後の作品、エプロンスカート」の日記にのせたこのスカート。

They flew to the other part of the earth by air, traveled to the Southern Hemisphere, and then I have just received this Sweet and Kiwite (Cute) snap from there.

はるばる飛行機で、地球のぐるっと裏のほう、南半球へ旅をし、

こんなスィートでキウィート（Kiwi +Cute）な着画がおくられてきて、うーー悶絶っ！

ズルいくらいかわいいモデルちゃんたち。

In my less sun light room, I could not photograph these skirts properly. But now look!

Shining green grass under the bright sun lends even more charm to these orange skirts.

New challenge last year and this year~Sewing~

Along with my sewing journey, I tried sewing the smallest dress in my life last year.
進みゆくわたしのソーイング道の中で、去年うまれてはじめての小ささのドレス縫いに挑戦しました。

It is too small enough to make me have a half mind to throw in the towel.
I have found that sewing smaller things is more time consuming than it looks.
But who wares this tiny dress??!!
ね？
途中で投げだしたくなる気にさせるほど小さいの。
小さいものを縫うのって、見た目よりもっと手間がかかるって実感しました。
でも、だれがこの小さなドレスを着るの？

This dress went to 10cm tall size "Petite Blythe" doll.
このドレスは１０cmサイズのプチブライス人形にいきました。

Sew a hair accessory and a knit cape too.
Ta-da! Thumbelina (Hans Christian Andersen story) was done!
I feel like my efforts were rewarded! Phewwww

I am considering to open a small shop and share my handmade clothes for dolls at Etsy this year because there are lots of fans of this Blythe doll all over the world.

このブライス人形のファンって世界中にいるから、今年はEtsy（ハンドメイド品フリーマケットサイト）で人形用の服屋さんをしたいと考えているよ。

My English friend brought me as a souvenir when she visited Japan in 2012.
The expire date was almost there, 31/05/2015! Oh.

イギリス人のともだちが２０１２年に日本にきたときに、おみやげとして持ってきてくれたの。

I am not a devourer of suspense (actually I am not good at heart-pounding things) though, it must be a worth to try if the story is based on a cabinet-sized replica of a home because I like small things such as doll house and doll things.

わたしはそんなにサスペンスものむさぼって読むような人じゃない（むしろ心臓がバクバクするようなものはあまり好きじゃない）けど、ドールハウスとか人形とかが好きだから、洋服箪笥サイズのレプリカの家が土台の話なら、挑戦してみる価値はあるはずだよね！

The Best Book Covers of 2014

"Don't judge a book from its cover."

I have never done it before.
No, maybe I did once or twice... no, three?... Ahem.
Yeah, I actually sometimes do it at book stores.

When I go to a bookstore with no wish list in my mind,
I pick up a book whose cover has a beautiful illustration with a great deal of interest and then see its summary.

As soon as I find the story behind the beautiful cover is a hard-boyled action novel, I put it back on the top of pile with disappointment.
Sorry!

Now here is the main subject of today.

はい、じっさい本屋さんでは何度かしています。

とくにほしいものリストが頭になくて本屋へいったときは、きれいなイラストが表紙のものにかなり興味をひかれて手にとり、それからあらすじを見る。

その美しい表紙にかくれたストーリーが、ハードボイルドアクションものだとわかるやいなや、がっかりして元の積まれた位置にもどすよね。
ごめんなさい。

My last work in 2014, Apron Skirt

Once you see my blog design, you have no doubt that I like "Girly" things.
I really want to appreciate Free Pretty Things for You site for sharing me these crazily kawaii materials which beautify my blog so much!!

I have been a girly-girl since I was a literally
"a girl".
Yes. I had believed in the existence of fairies and Neverland, needless to say Santa Clause, until I became 10 or 11 years old.

Therefore, it is no big surprise that my graduation thesis at a university was "Study of Lewis Carol" and I am still a daydreamer, right?

Actually I do have a tomboy side though, I don't show that side to everyone.

Speaking of Lewis Carol, I love girls' outfit of those era.

According to Mr. Wikipedia who referred Jones Gladstone (1998). The Alice Companion: A Guide to Lewis Carroll's Alice Books, 
 "Alice's clothes are typical of what a girl belonging to the middle class in the mid-Victorian era might have worn at home."

Anyway, it is 2015 and no longer the mid-Victorian era though, matching a skirt and an apron style is my favorite!!

Here is my latest masterpiece I sew in the end of 2014.
See? I cannot stop sewing girly outfits!

"Ciresica* Clothing" is my kids' clothes brand's name by the way.

To commemorate a new year 2015,

I have started to write my blog.

Yes. I have spent most of my new year holiday nights learning how to use photoshop, CSS and HTML things in front of my new laptop.

2015 is the year of the sheep in Oriental Zodiac.

I strongly hope human beings all over the world becomes more gentle and easy, less offensive like fluffy sheep this year.
